When Stress No Longer Feels Sustainable: Trauma-Informed Support for High Performers
Based in Durango, CO | Serving clients in California, Colorado, and Utah
EMDR intensives, sound healing, and nervous system-based wellness for stress, trauma, and disconnection.
Founded by Barbara Ferri, a licensed clinical therapist and certified sound healer, Solum Life Therapy offers focused, restorative support for people who carry a lot β mentally, emotionally, and physically.
Her therapeutic work is grounded in evidence-based psychotherapy and incorporate somatic practices. This approach reflects a simple truth: meaningful change doesnβt come from insight alone, but from helping the nervous system feel safe enough to shift.
Unlike traditional models that separate mental health from wellness, Barbara bridges evidence-based therapy and sound healingβtwo powerful, complementary approaches that support the nervous system at its deepest levels.

When Chronic Stress Isnβt Sustainable
Youβre constantly movingβmanaging responsibilities, meeting expectations, and holding everything together. From the outside, it may look like youβre thriving. But inside, something feels off. Youβre exhausted, disconnected, and unsure when you last felt truly grounded or present. Slowing down feels uncomfortable, and prioritizing yourself feels almost impossible.
Many of the people I work with are high performersβprofessionals, leaders, caregivers, and creativesβwho are outwardly successful but internally overwhelmed. They often live in a state of chronic stress or nervous system dysregulation, feeling stuck in survival mode. Relationships can feel strained, whether with a partner, coworkers, or even with themselves. Despite their efforts, they feel disconnected, emotionally numb, or unsure what they actually need to feel well.
Getting to the Root of It
For many, this isnβt just the result of a busy life. Itβs a learned pattern. Constant productivity, over-functioning, or emotional disconnection can be protective responsesβways the
nervous system learned to stay safe in the face of early emotional neglect, unresolved trauma, or environments that didnβt allow space for rest, connection, or vulnerability. Over time, these patterns can quietly shape how you relate to work, relationships, and your own inner world.
At Solum Life Therapy, I offer integrative, trauma-informed services designed to help you reconnect with yourself and restore balance at the nervous system level. Through EMDR intensives, sound healing, and corporate wellness experiences, we work together to address the root causes of stress, trauma, and disconnectionβgently, intentionally, and at a pace that feels safe.
You donβt have to keep living on autopilot. Healing doesnβt mean doing moreβit means creating space to listen, regulate, and reconnect. With the right support, itβs possible to feel grounded, connected, and at peaceβboth within yourself, at work, and in your relationships.
βI help high-performing professionals and caregivers resolve trauma and anxiety that success alone hasnβt fixed.β
