Rapid Healing with EMDR Intensive Therapy Sessions
Recover from childhood trauma, perfectionism, irrational fears, anxiety, depression, and relationship issues with EMDR intensives—rapid results in fewer sessions.
EMDR Intensives can help:
▸ Stuck memories that are upsetting or disturbing
▸ Anxiety, depression, panic attacks, phobias
▸ Adult children of parents with undiagnosed/untreated mental illness and/or substance use disorders
▸ Past Traumatic Stress Disorder: Flashbacks, overwhelming feelings, avoiding places/things that remind you of the trauma
▸ Recent traumatic events: by addressing the recent event soon after it occurs, you can reduce or eliminate its traumatic impact on you.
Research shows that EMDR intensives are as effective as weekly EMDR sessions – both in decreasing upsetting symptoms and achieving lasting results.

Imagine finally getting to…
Resolve Deep Issues Quickly:
Experience accelerated therapy that allows you to tackle and resolve deep-seated issues in a fraction of the time compared to traditional therapy.
Overcome Obstacles with Confidence:
Feel more confident and less overwhelmed with the guidance of a skilled trauma therapist. Allow me to support you in achieving healthier relationships, career satisfaction, and a sense of security. Stop allowing negative and intrusive thoughts to run the show.
Completely Resolve an Issue without Starting Over Again Every week:
Have you ever been talking to your therapist and just when you're about to dive into the heart of your issue, the session ends? An intensive therapy session provides the uninterrupted time you need to fully explore and address your pain, rather than hitting pause every 50 minutes.
What is an EMDR intensive?
An EMDR intensive is a focused, short-term therapy program designed to help you dive deep into healing in a shorter amount of time. Unlike traditional therapy, which might take place once a week over months or years, an intensive condenses the therapy process into several days of concentrated sessions. This allows for rapid progress, addressing core issues more quickly, and providing you with the tools and insights you need to move forward with confidence and clarity.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is designed to help people process and heal from trauma and distressing experiences. Here’s a simple breakdown of how it works:
The therapy starts with an assessment where we discuss your past experiences, current symptoms, and any negative feelings you have about yourself. This helps us identify what we need to focus on during your sessions.
Next, we establish safety and comfort by teaching you coping techniques and grounding exercises. These help you feel secure and prepared as we begin working on your traumatic memories.
During the main part of the therapy, we use a method called bilateral stimulation, which often involves guided eye movements. While you focus on the distressing memories, this technique helps your brain process and reduce the emotional charge associated with them. This allows you to view the memories in a new, less distressing way.
As we progress, we work on replacing any negative beliefs or feelings you have with positive, empowering ones. This helps build your self-esteem and resilience.
We also check in on how your body feels to ensure that any physical tension related to the trauma is addressed.
Finally, we help you return to a stable and calm state after each session. In follow-up appointments, we review your progress and make sure the positive changes are lasting.
Overall, EMDR therapy helps you reprocess troubling memories and decrease their emotional impact, enabling you to move forward with greater clarity and peace.

Intensives and regular therapy serve different purposes and offer distinct approaches to healing.
Focused Timeframe: Unlike regular therapy, which typically involves weekly sessions spread over months or even years, intensives are concentrated sessions held over a shorter period. This allows for deep, focused work on your specific issues in a condensed timeframe.
Immersive Experience: Intensives offer an immersive experience where you engage in extended sessions, often lasting several hours each. This concentrated effort can lead to faster progress and more profound breakthroughs compared to the slower pace of traditional weekly therapy.
Comprehensive Approach: During an intensive, the therapy is often combined with additional methods such as nature and sound healing, which aren’t typically part of regular therapy. These complementary approaches enhance the overall experience and effectiveness of the treatment.
Immediate Impact: Intensives aim to address and resolve issues more quickly. While regular therapy progresses gradually over time, intensives are designed to deliver significant improvements and insights in a shorter period, allowing for rapid changes and relief.
Customized Focus: Intensives allow for a more tailored and individualized approach. The sessions are customized to address your specific needs and goals, often focusing intensely on particular issues or traumas that you want to resolve.
In summary, while regular therapy provides ongoing support and gradual progress, intensives offer a focused, immersive experience designed to achieve significant results in a shorter amount of time.

Great question! Deciding to participate in an intensive therapy program is a significant step, and it's important to ensure it's the right fit for you. Intensive therapy is designed for individuals who are ready to dive deep into their healing process. It's a concentrated effort over a short period, which can be incredibly powerful but also requires a commitment to engage fully.
If you have specific issues like trauma, anxiety, ADHD, or other mental health challenges that you're looking to resolve, intensive therapy can be especially effective. The focused sessions allow us to target these issues directly and work through them systematically. Many of my clients come to me after finding that traditional, weekly therapy sessions haven't provided the results they're looking for. If you feel like you've been spinning your wheels in traditional therapy, an intensive might be a great alternative.
Therapy Intensives are great for addressing stuck memories that are upsetting or disturbing, anxiety, depression, panic attacks, and phobias. They are also highly effective for adult children of parents with undiagnosed or untreated mental illness and/or substance use disorders. Intensive therapy can help with past traumatic experiences, such as flashbacks, overwhelming feelings, and avoiding places or things that remind you of the trauma. Additionally, if you've had a recent traumatic experience, I can help you process the event quickly to minimize the possibility of lasting trauma symptoms.
However, Therapy Intensives aren’t suitable for everyone. If you are experiencing active suicidality, meaning you are having thoughts about hurting yourself or others and have the means or a plan to do so, intensive therapy is not the right fit. Severe dissociation can also be a barrier; while some dissociation is okay, as I have extensive experience with dissociative disorders, intensive therapy may not be effective if the dissociation is too severe. Finally, if your basic needs like food, shelter, and safety aren't being met, this may block processing or hinder results.
If you resonate with the points mentioned above, there's a good chance that an intensive therapy program could be a great fit for you. But don't worry, we'll do a thorough assessment before starting to make sure it's the best approach for your unique situation.

Don’t worry, most think this at first. Many of my clients had undergone several years, or even decades, of traditional talk therapy with little or no lasting results. Some even felt worse, having lost hope about their situation.
I understand it can be hard to believe that you can achieve your dream results (or better) in just a few days. While every counseling discipline has its benefits, and the time spent isn't wasted, many traditional methods can be outdated or less effective for certain issues.
The truth is, we've been conditioned to believe that therapy takes a long time, is difficult, and requires a lot of work. My intensive therapy approach challenges this notion by using modern, evidence-based techniques that are designed to produce rapid and lasting results. I tailor each session to your specific needs, ensuring you receive the most effective treatment possible.
However, please note that results are not guaranteed, as each individual's journey is unique. If needed, there is always the option to extend the intensive sessions to ensure you get the support you need.
-
Absolutely! You can still work with me even if you’re currently seeing another therapist. In fact, many clients choose to engage in EMDR intensive therapy as a complement to their ongoing therapy.
Here's how it works:
We can coordinate with your current therapist to ensure that our approaches are aligned and that you receive cohesive support. This collaboration helps to maximize the benefits of both therapies and ensures that we’re all working towards your overall well-being.
This way, you get the added benefit of intensive therapy while continuing the work you're already doing with your current therapist.
